Thirty-Three

I figured that since there's really no need to hide my age, I won't get the chance to use this song title as my subject line for any better purpose than today.

That many years ago, my mother saw fit to bring me into this world. I love her, and life very much. I've travelled many an odd and dark road to get to where I am today, but I truly feel that my best in life is yet to come. I still feel very young.

I suppose it's only natural to get a little introspective on your birthday, but I don't typically make a big deal about it. I don't really get a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding the day. I'm actually working on my birthday, so it's not really a big deal. I'll get to celebrate with my family this Sunday, so I'm very happy to have that time with them.

I'm just very blessed to be alive, and have the people in my life that I do. I'm well and truly loved by a few, and that's far better than I deserve.

I hope that everyone can feel as cared for as I do on their birthday...
